SFC Guidelines for Reducing and Mitigating Hacking Risks Associated with Internet Trading

Hong Kong SFC Licensed corporations engaged in internet trading (“internet brokers”) are reminded of the compliance with the SFC Guidelines for Reducing and Mitigating Hacking Risks Associated with Internet Trading (“Guidelines”) issued in Oct 2017. 

They should ensure that all systems and controls are commensurate with the firm’s business needs and operations, and implement additional cybersecurity controls as necessary.

This 0.5 hour training focuses on the Guidelines that will help reducing and mitigating hacking risks associated with internet trading that includes the following areas and best practices as recommended by the SFC: 

- Protection of clients’ internet trading account

- Infrastructure security management 

- Cybersecurity Management and Supervision

- Good industry practices for IT risk management and cybersecurity

This training can enhance awareness of the SFC licensed corporations in managing and reducing risks on internet trading and their IT system and infrastructure. 

To complete the training, you are required to answer 5 questions in the Assessment Test at the end of the training and have 3 questions answered correctly.  Prior to taking the Assessment Test, you must watch the entire training video. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of your Certificate of Completion.
